Hwasun Sarang Card Usage Increases... Popular Among Young People

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) has seen a steady increase in users of the card-type Hwasun Love Gift Certificate ‘Hwasun Love Card,’ which began sales in November last year.

According to the county on the 1st, the number of Hwasun Love Card users increased from 1,449 in December last year to 3,344 as of August 19.

The Hwasun Love Card is popular among younger users who are relatively familiar with mobile usage. It is well-received due to its ease of use and numerous benefits.

The Hwasun Love Card can be recharged (purchased) anytime and anywhere 24 hours a day through the local gift certificate application (app) without visiting a sales agency, and unlike paper gift certificates, a 30% income deduction is automatically applied without requesting a cash receipt.

The monthly limit per person for Hwasun Love Gift Certificates is 500,000 KRW combining both paper and card gift certificates, with a 10% discount on recharge amounts and a 30% income deduction benefit applied.

To promote the Hwasun Love Card, the county added the post office as a card issuing institution in January and has been working to expand card-affiliated stores and improve convenience.

Issuance and recharge of the Hwasun Love Card can be done using the ‘Local Gift Certificate Chak’ app provided by the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation or at sales agency counters at local agricultural and livestock cooperatives and post offices in Hwasun.

The Hwasun Love Card can be used at NH and BC Card affiliated stores among the gift certificate merchants, and issuance, recharge, and balance management can all be conveniently done via the app.

Governor Gu Chung-gon said, “The Hwasun Love Gift Certificate is contributing to revitalizing the local commercial district, which has been struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that residents will actively participate in the activation of the Hwasun Love Card, which has become more convenient to use with card issuance, recharge, balance checks, and usage history inquiries.”
