NongHyup Central Association Holds Symposium on Cooperative Structural Improvement and Development
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) announced that it held a Cooperative Structure Improvement Development Symposium at the NACF headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, to commemorate its 60th anniversary.
This symposium was organized to review the achievements of the cooperative structure improvement project and to explore development plans in response to the digital management environment in the post-COVID-19 era.
The event proceeded with presentations and Q&A sessions on three topics: the direction of the cooperative structure improvement project in response to internal and external environmental changes (Dr. Yoon Geonyong, NACF Economic Research Institute), the design of the target fund system reflecting the management environment of agricultural and livestock cooperatives (Professor Lee Minhwan, Inha University), and proactive financial support measures to prevent insolvency (Professor Kim Jeongryeol, Hansung University).

The presenters evaluated that over the past 20 years, NACF has contributed to strengthening its credibility by enhancing the capital adequacy of agricultural and livestock cooperatives and expanding the reserves of the mutual finance deposit protection fund through the cooperative structure improvement project.
