[2022 Early Admission] Chung-Ang University, Largest Pharmacy College Nationwide... 55 Early Admission Slots Available
Chung-Ang University will select 3,231 students, accounting for 63.7% of the 2022 academic year recruitment quota, through early admission. This year, a new Student Record-Based (Regional Balance) admission track has been established, and interviews will be conducted for the Da Vinci Talent track within the Student Record Comprehensive Admission. Teacher recommendation letters have been abolished in the Student Record Comprehensive Admission, and the common self-introduction questions have been reduced from three to two, making a total of three questions.
Due to the restructuring of the pharmacy program, undergraduate freshmen will also be recruited. Although the pharmacy quota is 120 students, a total of 129 students (120 within quota, 9 outside quota) will be selected through early and regular admissions. This is the largest scale among the 37 pharmacy schools nationwide. In early admission, a total of 55 students will be selected through Student Record-Based, Student Record Comprehensive, and Essay tracks respectively.
The newly established Student Record-Based (Regional Balance) track this year integrates last year's Student Record-Based track, which focused on academic records, and the Principal's Recommendation track. Evaluation is based on 70% academic records and 30% non-academic activities, with a recruitment quota of 511 students. The number of recommendations per high school has been significantly expanded to 10, compared to last year's Principal's Recommendation track. The minimum CSAT score requirement for the Student Record-Based (Regional Balance) track has been relaxed compared to last year. For humanities, the sum of grades in three subjects among Korean, Math, English, and Social/Science Exploration must be within 7; for natural sciences (Seoul campus), the sum of grades in three subjects among Korean, Math (Calculus or Geometry, choose one), English, and Science Exploration must be within 7. For the Department of Pharmacy, the sum of grades in four subjects among Korean, Math (Calculus or Geometry, choose one), English, and Science Exploration must be within 5.
A total of 1,620 students will be selected through the Student Record Comprehensive Admission, divided into Da Vinci Talent (590 students), Inquiry Talent (595 students), and SW Talent (75 students). Until last year, the Student Record Comprehensive Admission was conducted with 100% document screening, but this year, interviews will be conducted for the Da Vinci Talent track. The Inquiry Talent, SW Talent, Social Integration, and Equal Opportunity tracks will all select students based on 100% document screening. The minimum CSAT score requirement does not apply to the Student Record Comprehensive Admission.
