Ulsan Office of Education and Ulsan University Sign MOU for 'Green Smart Future School' Project
366 Billion KRW Invested in 31 Old Schools
Ulsan Office of Education and Ulsan National University signed a memorandum of understanding for the 'Green Smart Future School' on the 26th at the Jiphyeonsil of the Office of Education.

Both institutions agreed to exchange human and material resources for the successful promotion of the 'Green Smart Future School' project, which is being promoted as a national project, and to cooperate mutually for the establishment of future-oriented teaching and learning, learner-centered learning environments, regional coexistence, and educational development.
The cooperation covers a total of six areas.
These include the exchange of human and material resources such as research activities and facility openings, exchange and cooperation of information on educational research activities targeting school facilities, expert consultation and project participation by the university on the Green Smart Future School and school space innovation projects, support for the transition to new educational systems such as the use of edutech and remote education, joint solidarity to respond to climate crises and environmental issues, and joint cooperation on school facility complexification and living SOC projects.
Details will be identified and mutually agreed upon during the progress of the project.
At this event, Superintendent No Okhee expressed gratitude to Professor Yoo Myeonghee of Ulsan National University, who has been participating as the general planner in the school space innovation project since 2019, saying, “I thank you for your contributions, and I believe today's agreement will be a great driving force not only for the success of the Green Smart Future School but also for the growth and development of Ulsan education.”
In response, President Oh Yeoncheon of Ulsan National University said, “We take pride in Ulsan National University’s participation in new projects for the vision and innovation of education nation-building, and we will actively participate to ensure the smooth promotion of the Green Smart Future School project.”

The Ulsan Green Smart Future School project targets 31 old schools that are over 40 years old, with a budget of approximately 366 billion KRW invested over five years starting from 2021.
