[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] China, which has been continuously sending messages of inclusion towards the Taliban, announced on the 25th that it is communicating smoothly with the Taliban.
Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a regular briefing on the 25th, "China is having smooth and effective communication and negotiations with the Taliban side."
Earlier, Wang Wei, the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan, and his delegation met with a delegation led by Abdul Salam Hanafi, a senior Taliban official, in Kabul the previous day to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
In response to a request to introduce the contents of the talks, spokesperson Wang replied, "Kabul naturally serves as an important platform and channel for the two countries to discuss all kinds of important issues."
