[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Training to nurture YouTubers, a popular profession, will be conducted in Songdo, Incheon.

Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is recruiting trainees for the "One-Person Broadcasting Content Creator Training and MCN Practical Education," which aims to nurture 'one-person broadcasters,' one of the most promising creative jobs in the 4th Industrial Revolution era, and actively support job creation in related fields.

This project was selected through a consortium proposal by Yeonsu-gu and Incheon TP in response to the 'City-County/District Win-Win Cooperation Specialized Job Creation Project' contest implemented by Incheon City in 2019, and plans to train approximately 240 YouTubers by next year.

The training is divided into two sessions: the first session runs from next month, September 6, to October 19, and the second session from October 25 to November 30.

Each 6-week course includes basic and advanced training such as filming, video editing, and live broadcast production practice, along with occasional mentoring, expert consulting, and special lectures by famous creators, allowing participants to develop their expertise as professionals in the one-person broadcasting field.

Incheon TP plans to open the 'Yeonsu-gu One-Person Broadcasting Incubation Center,' equipped with a studio capable of live broadcast filming and video editing facilities, to support trainees not only through incubating education to enhance their capabilities as one-person broadcasters but also by supporting video production activities.

Based on the 'Incheon MCN Center (One-Person Broadcasting Production Center),' which opened in August 2017 as the first public institution of its kind nationwide, Incheon TP has trained about 160 one-person broadcasting professionals to date.

In addition, Incheon TP has been working on related projects to foster the local media and broadcasting ecosystem and related industries, including operating the Incheon-specialized internet broadcasting platform 'Incheon N Broadcasting' and hosting the 'Incheon International One-Person Media Festival.'

Eligibility for trainees includes unemployed youth aged 17 to 39 residing in Incheon who are interested in the one-person broadcasting field, with additional points given to residents of Yeonsu-gu during selection.

Applications for both the first and second sessions are currently open. Applicants can download the application form from the announcement board on the Incheon TP website and submit it via email to the person in charge (yoomin@itp.or.kr) by midnight on the 29th.
