Toss Designated as a New Identity Verification Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] The Korea Communications Commission held its 36th plenary session on the 25th and announced that it has designated Viva Republica, the operator of Toss, as a new identity verification agency.
As a result of the review of 92 items by an external expert review committee, Viva Republica had no non-compliant items. The KCC resolved to designate it as an identity verification agency on the condition that 12 necessary improvements be completed.
However, Kookmin Bank, which was also reviewed, was evaluated as non-compliant in two items and was not designated as an identity verification agency.
