I will faithfully explain during the scheduled hearing process."
On the 24th, Cho posted on his Facebook, "Pusan National University judged that 'the Dongyang University certificate of commendation and the experience listed in the admission documents were not the main factors for acceptance' regarding my daughter’s admission to the School of Medicine, and stated that it is very unlikely that there were any failures due to my daughter’s undergraduate grades and English scores submitted in the documents. However, according to the 2015 admission guidelines 'Applicant Precautions,' if 'the information in the submitted documents is found to be false, the applicant will be disqualified,' and thus announced the 'preliminary disposition decision' to cancel the admission."
Earlier, Pusan National University held a press conference and announced the cancellation of former Minister Cho’s daughter’s past admission to the School of Medicine. Since April, Pusan National University has been reviewing whether to cancel the admission and explained the background of the decision by stating, "According to the 2015 academic year School of Medicine new student recruitment guidelines, under applicant precautions, if the submitted documents contain false information, the applicant will be disqualified."
They further explained, "The Fair Trade Commission reported that the Dongyang University certificate of commendation and the experience listed in the admission documents were not considered important factors for acceptance, but when the university headquarters decides on the cancellation of admission, whether the applicant’s documents influenced acceptance is not a consideration."
Kim Hong-won, Vice President of Pusan National University, is announcing the final conclusion regarding the medical school admission allegations involving the daughter of former Minister Cho Kuk on the 24th at the main building of Pusan National University in Geumjeong-gu, Busan.

Vice President Park added, "This decision is a preliminary administrative disposition under the Administrative Procedures Act. If the Supreme Court reverses the ruling, the administrative disposition result may also change. After going through subsequent administrative procedures such as hearings, the final confirmation usually takes about 2 to 3 months."
