The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced on the 24th that with Moderna expanding its vaccine supply volume until the first week of September, it is expected to more reliably achieve the goal of administering the first dose to 36 million people nationwide before Chuseok.
Moderna notified that it will supply a total of 7.01 million doses by the first week of next month, including 1.01 million doses that arrived the day before.
The Promotion Team expanded the number of reservation slots available at medical institutions after September 6 to expedite vaccinations for the 18-49 age group using the doses to be introduced by early September.
Accordingly, among the 18-49 age group, those who have not yet made a reservation or those who reserved after Chuseok but wish to advance their vaccination schedule can adjust their appointments to receive vaccinations on earlier dates.
Also, from today, new reservations can be made for dates after September 6.
Those who have already made reservations but want to change their vaccination date can cancel their existing reservation through the pre-reservation website (https://ncvr.kdca.go.kr) and then rebook by selecting the desired date and medical institution.
However, considering the vaccine delivery schedule, the earliest available reservation date from today is after September 6. Therefore, even if those with reservations before that date cancel their existing reservations to change dates, rebooking is only possible for dates after September 6.
The Promotion Team stated, "Considering the vaccine delivery schedule, reservations for the second week of September (September 6?12) will be accepted until August 26, and reservations for the third week of September (September 13?19) will be accepted until September 2. Unregistered individuals can make reservations until September 18, but we urge everyone to complete their reservations as soon as possible and receive vaccinations early."
