Wanju Yongjinseowon Selected for Confucian Academy Education Project
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 24th that Yongjin Seowon (Seowonjang Dr. Choi Young-chan, PhD in Philosophy), located in Yongjin-eup, has been selected for the "Sungkyunkwan Confucian Culture Revitalization Confucian Academy Education Project."
The Confucian Academy is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and 33 Hyanggyo nationwide were selected.
Following this project selection, Yongjin Seowon will expand the Oriental Classics Humanities School lectures that were operated in the first half of the year.
They plan to recruit learners until the 5th of next month to further promote the spread of humanities.
A representative of Yongjin Seowon said, "The Oriental Humanities lectures in the first half were successfully conducted with the support of Wanju County and received good evaluations," adding, "We will strive to greatly contribute to the spiritual culture and humanities development of Wanju citizens."
