InnoBiz Association Selected as 'SW Specialized Project Execution Agency' for SME Training Support Center
Expansion of Vocational Training Opportunities for Employees of Small and Medium Enterprises
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Innobiz Association announced on the 24th that it has been finally selected as the implementing agency for the ‘SME Training Support Center SW Specialization (Customized On-the-Job Training (S-OJT)) Project.’
Customized On-the-Job Training (S-OJT) is a project promoted as part of the ‘Lifelong Vocational Education and Training Innovation Plan’ announced at the government-wide level in 2018. To expand vocational education and training opportunities for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea designate and operate separate training support centers to increase participation rates of on-site employees with high training needs.
This project develops customized software training courses through job analysis and consultation with SMEs and supports one-stop implementation of in-house training.
The association was selected as one of the three training centers and plans to support a total of 40 companies and up to 80 courses (2 courses per company) within the year. Through customized on-site training consulting in the software (SW) field, it helps SMEs independently cultivate the software workforce needed in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation.
Through this designation as an SME Training Support Center, the association plans to continuously expand customized on-site training tailored to industry characteristics, focusing on new software business areas (cloud, big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things).
