[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, announced on the 23rd that he will hold an emergency Supreme Council meeting on the 24th to review and discuss the disposition regarding 12 current lawmakers listed for violating laws in the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's 'Real Estate Full Investigation'.
On the same day, around 6 p.m., after a two-and-a-half-hour strategy meeting at the National Assembly Members' Office Building with Floor Leader Kim Ki-hyun, Secretary-General Han Ki-ho, and Deputy Floor Leader for Policy Choo Kyung-ho, Lee said, "We discussed the situation with the floor leadership who received the results today, and plan to hold an emergency Supreme Council meeting tomorrow to discuss the disposition."
He also explained, "There has been no discussion regarding the level of disciplinary action," and added, "The list itself will be disclosed at some point, but now is not the stage to make such a decision."

The real estate-related suspicions against the 12 People Power Party lawmakers include 13 cases: one case of suspected real estate name trust, two cases of suspected tax evasion such as disguised gifts, four cases of suspected violations of the Land Compensation Act, Building Act, Special Act on Public Housing, etc., and six cases of suspected violations of the Farmland Act.
