Naju City, 9 Public Institutions Join 'Blood Donation Campaign'
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Han-hyuk Lee] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 23rd that it received a donation of 170 blood donation certificates through the ‘Bitgaram Love Relay Blood Donation Campaign’ organized by the Gwangju Jeonnam Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross.
This campaign is an event where blood donation certificates are voluntarily donated not only for blood donation but also for local emergency patients. Last year, six public institutions participated and donated 198 blood donation certificates.
This year, nine public institutions participated, including the Korea Creative Content Agency, Korea Rural Community Corporation, Korea Arts Council, Korea Institute of Planning and Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Private School Teachers’ Pension, KEPCO KDN, Korea Communications Agency, and Korea Power Exchange.
Kim Yong-ok, Director of the General Affairs Bureau of Naju City, said, “We thank the warm hearts of public institution employees who participated in the 10-minute miracle that saves precious lives,” and added, “We will use these donations carefully for hospitals and vulnerable groups facing difficulties in blood supply due to urgent surgeries.”
