Hanmi Semiconductor Opens 'Micro Saw' Showroom in Taiwan
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Hanmi Semiconductor, a semiconductor equipment developer, announced on the 23rd that it will open the ‘Hanmi Taiwan Micro SAW’ showroom in the Zhongli (中?) area of Taiwan, the center of the global semiconductor market.
The Hanmi Taiwan Micro SAW showroom is located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, where the world’s largest OSAT company ASE and major PCB companies are based. It exhibits two ‘Micro SAW & Vision Placement (MS&VP)’ machines in an 80-pyeong indoor space.
Hanmi Semiconductor Vice Chairman and CEO Dongshin Kwak said, "Taiwan is a key region with global major OSAT companies such as TSMC, the world’s largest foundry company, ASE, SPIL, and PTI," adding, "About 50 semiconductor experts working at the local subsidiary Hanmi Taiwan plan to actively conduct sales activities, including customer invitation equipment demonstrations, using the Micro SAW showroom."
He continued, "The Micro SAW, which succeeded in localization last June, is receiving hotter-than-expected interest from customers," and explained, "We have received an order worth 6.8 billion KRW for the ‘Micro SAW & Vision Placement (MS&VP)’ equipment from JSSI, a Chinese semiconductor OSAT company."
