Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation Conducts Talent Donation Education through 'Customized Resource Linkage'
Conducting Talent Donation Education to Improve Social Skills of Vulnerable Children through Customized Network and Resource Linkage among Construction-Sponsored Social Welfare Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kim Kyungho), Seoul Flower Village (Director Lee Haesook), and two local children’s centers in Songpa-gu (Songpa Hope World, Nurimi Local Children’s Center) connected their resources to provide talent donation education aimed at enhancing the character and creativity of children and adolescents in the community. This was conducted online in a non-face-to-face format on the 19th.
The local children’s centers identified various educational needs of the children and proposed a character education program titled “Volunteering and Life.” The corporation linked this with the talent donation of Director Lee Haesook of Seoul Flower Village, who has extensive volunteer experience (over 1,000 lectures), to conduct education (online lectures) for the character development of youth.
Furthermore, considering the COVID-19 Level 4 situation in the metropolitan area, the corporation also supported the facilities and IT equipment necessary to enable non-face-to-face online education.
This community contribution activity targeting children and adolescents is significant in that the corporation and external partner organizations shared relevant information, identified the actual needs of vulnerable children, and utilized and connected human and material resources held by each institution to carry out community contribution activities.
Kim Jonggeun, Head of Management Division, stated, “The corporation plans to continue building various social contribution networks with partner organizations and promote collaborative projects.”
