Gwangju University Architecture Major Wins 'Top Award' at Jeonnam Art Exhibition
4 Special Selections and 10 Honorable Mentions, Total 15 Awarded Works

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 19th that its architecture major students won numerous awards, including the highest prize, in the 2021 National Contest "The 57th Jeollanam-do Art Exhibition" in the architecture category.
The contest, hosted by the Jeollanam-do branch of the Korea Fine Arts Association and sponsored by Jeollanam-do, saw fourth-year students Choi Yeon-bi, Yoon Young-hyuk, and Song Hyun-kyung win the highest prize, the Excellence Award, with their work titled "Nero (narrow)".
Additionally, Gwangju University architecture major students achieved remarkable success by winning a total of 15 awards out of 30 winning works in this contest, including 4 Special Selections and 10 Selections.
Shim Jae-chun, head professor of the architecture major, said, "Thanks to the students' diligent preparation through various educational programs conducted at the school, we were able to achieve good results," and added, "We will actively support many students to achieve excellent results in competitions."
