Gwangju Bank Provides Interest Support for Low-Credit Small Business Owners and Ordinary Citizens in Inclusive Finance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) and Dong-gu Office announced on the 19th that they have signed an inclusive finance interest support agreement for low-credit small business owners and the underprivileged.
According to this agreement, small business owners residing in Dong-gu who are low-income underprivileged finance beneficiaries or have business establishments will receive a temporary 4% interest support on underprivileged finance loans until the end of this year.
Dong-gu Office of Gwangju City was selected for the local small business owners' hope loan contest project under the '2021 Resident Life Innovation Case Expansion Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a total project budget of 60 million KRW including national and self-funded budgets, and decided to provide interest support for the underprivileged.
Lee Woo-kyung, Vice President of Gwangju Bank, said, "Through this agreement, we hope to help alleviate the interest burden on loans for small business owners and local residents who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, even if only a little."
