[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Sancheong-gun Health and Medical Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it will conduct emergency first aid training, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), at the Sancheong-gun Youth Training Center until the 23rd.
This training was prepared to raise awareness of the importance of emergency medical care, improve response capabilities through emergency first aid training such as CPR, and increase the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients.
The participants include 366 people in total, such as legally mandated personnel like health teachers, responsible managers of institutions with automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the general public.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, quarantine guidelines will be followed, and the number of participants will be distributed accordingly.
The training will be conducted by Gyeongsang National University Hospital. It covers emergency first aid theory, how to use automated external defibrillators, and the importance of CPR.

A county official said, “When cardiac arrest occurs, oxygen supply to the brain is cut off, which can cause severe brain damage. However, if CPR is performed within 4 minutes, precious lives can be saved. We hope this training will help develop proper response skills in emergency situations.”
