According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments on the 17th, a total of 1,390 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide from 0:00 to 6:00 PM that day. This is 236 more than the previous day.
By region, the numbers are as follows: Gyeonggi 400, Seoul 388, Busan 100, Gyeongnam 94, Incheon 89, Daegu 51, Chungnam 45, Jeju 42, Gangwon 39, Chungbuk 32, Gyeongbuk 31, Gwangju 27, Jeonnam 20, Daejeon 18, Ulsan 9, Jeonbuk 5. Among the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, Sejong has not reported any confirmed cases yet.
Since there is still time left until midnight when the tally closes, the number of new confirmed cases announced at 0:00 on the 18th is expected to increase further. On the previous day, there was an increase of 219 cases after 6:00 PM, closing at a final count of 1,373.
