Lee Jin, Minsaengdang Representative Candidate, Launches Full-Scale Campaign Targeting Honam Region
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Jin, the candidate for the Minsaeng Party representative, has launched a focused campaign in the Honam region.
According to local political circles on the 17th, Lee visited the Jeonnam areas of Hwasun and Naju the previous day, and on this day, he visited Gwangju.
He began his campaign by performing 108 prostrations at Songjeong Station and Malbau Market, reflecting on the failure to meet the expectations of the people and party members and expressing his determination to start anew.
Lee stated, “We failed to uphold the will of the people who gave the three parties a chance based on overwhelming support from Honam, resulting in a crushing defeat in the last general and local elections,” and appealed, “Please give the Minsaeng Party, which is going through a long period of reflection, another chance.”
He continued, “In the upcoming presidential election, we will definitely produce a presidential candidate who can reflect the identity of the Minsaeng Party and the political demands of Honam,” adding, “In the subsequent local elections, we will achieve an overwhelming victory through policy battles with the Democratic Party and the People Power Party.”
Meanwhile, the party member vote to elect the Minsaeng Party representative and supreme council members will be conducted via the Central Election Commission’s K-Voting on the 24th and 25th, and via ARS on the 26th and 27th, with the final decision made at the party convention on the 28th.
