Toss Launches Electronic Document Wallet Service... "Simplify Complex Loan Documents"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial platform `Toss`, announced on the 17th that it will launch the `Electronic Document Wallet` service, which allows users to manage various electronic certificates within the Toss application (app) in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Electronic Document Wallet is a service that enables one-stop issuance, viewing, and submission of public documents such as resident registration cards and health insurance qualification certificates. Through this, users can manage various certificates that were previously issued through community service centers or the Government24 website all at once within the Toss app. Currently, nine types of documents can be issued, including resident registration copies (original and certified), tax payment certificates, and income amount certificates.
Users can utilize the `Apply for Certificate` service in the `My Documents` section of the Toss app. After selecting the required documents and completing authentication via a joint certificate, the issuance is completed. Toss plans to gradually expand the range of electronic certificates available and provide various additional features.
A `Package Service` will also be introduced, allowing users to issue and submit all required documents at once according to the purpose of submission, such as credit loans, insurance enrollment, and year-end tax settlement. For example, if documents related to a credit loan are needed, users can receive a package of 10 types of documents at once, including resident registration copies, income amount certificates, and health insurance qualification certificates, and submit them to financial institutions.
