Statistics Korea to Host International Symposium on National Statistical Methodology on 29-30
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Statistics Korea announced on the 17th that it will hold the "11th International Symposium on National Statistical Methodology" at the Daejeon Statistics Center from the 29th to the 30th.
The theme of this event is "Data Innovation and the Leap of National Statistics," where opinions on personal information protection, data science and artificial intelligence (AI), survey methodology, and data-driven policies will be shared.
This symposium has been held annually since 2011 as a forum for government agencies, academia, research institutions, and data users to share research experiences and expertise.
The keynote speeches will cover topics such as "Data Science and Artificial Intelligence" by Ha Jung-woo, head of the Naver AI Research Center, and "The Advent of a Data-Centered Digital Economy" by Min Won-ki, president of Korea State University of New York.
