98 New COVID-19 Cases in Gyeongnam... Overseas, Mart, and Community Infections Persist (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] As of 5 PM on the 14th, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 98 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported.
By region, there are 35 cases in Changwon, 28 in Gimhae, 8 in Yangsan, 7 each in Jinju and Changnyeong, 5 in Geoje, 4 in Tongyeong, and 1 each in Haman, Goseong, Sancheong, and Hamyang. Excluding 4 cases from overseas arrivals, all are local infections. By infection route, 56 cases had contact with confirmed patients within the province, and 5 had contact with confirmed patients from other regions.
Two additional cases are related to Namchangwon Nonghyup Mart in Changwon. One case related to the metropolitan area was also reported. The remaining 30 cases are under investigation for their infection routes.
At the Nonghyup Mart where a cluster infection was confirmed, two more confirmed cases with addresses in Gimhae were added. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases related to Namchangwon Nonghyup Mart to 64.
Overseas imported cases were reported with one case each in Geoje, Sancheong, Jinju, and Yangsan. On the previous morning, an octogenarian patient receiving inpatient treatment in Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, passed away, bringing the cumulative COVID-19 related deaths in the province to 21.

Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 8,696 (1,263 hospitalized, 7,412 discharged, 21 deceased).
