[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] As of the 12th, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, has surpassed a 50% first-dose COVID-19 vaccination rate, and the number of people who have completed the second dose is expected to exceed 20%.
According to the district on the 14th, a total of 138,529 people, which is 51.1% of the eligible population, have received their first dose at Yeonsu-gu Public Health Center, entrusted medical institutions, and vaccination centers. The number of people who have completed the second dose is expected to reach over 50,000, more than 20%, by the 17th.
Yeonsu-gu was the first in the Incheon area to operate a COVID-19 vaccination center in April and is accelerating the vaccination pace to achieve rapid herd immunity and a return to daily life.
Meanwhile, from the 9th to the 20th of this month, a 10-day rotation system pre-registration for vaccination is being conducted for young adults aged 18 to 49, with additional reservations available from the 21st until the 18th of next month.
