Jinju-si Secures Incentives as an Excellent Senior Job Performance Institution from the Ministry of Health and Welfare
Jinju Senior Job Creation Support Center and Jinju Senior Club Receive 10 Million Won and 5 Million Won Respectively
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Among the senior job execution agencies in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam, the Jinju Senior Job Creation Support Center and Jinju Senior Club have been selected in the 2020 Ministry of Health and Welfare senior job project incentive payment evaluation and will receive the incentives in September.
The execution agency evaluation is conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, evaluating 1,268 senior job execution agencies nationwide, selecting 186 excellent agencies among them. Depending on the type and grade, each agency receives between 5 million KRW and 35 million KRW.
The Center was recognized for excellent performance in the multiple types (public interest + market) category and received 10 million KRW, while the Senior Club achieved the honor of receiving 5 million KRW in the single type (public interest type) category for efforts in discovering new projects.
The incentives received from this evaluation will be used for purchasing equipment for the project team, facility investment and environment improvement costs, purchasing safety supplies, welfare expenses such as training costs for workers, and performance bonuses for work managers and contributors to operations.
Meanwhile, the city has created 48 project teams of various senior job types such as public interest type, market type, social service type, and employment referral type at Jinju Senior Club, Jinju Western Senior Club, Jinju Senior Job Creation Support Center, the Korean Senior Citizens Association Jinju Branch, and Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, providing jobs to over 5,300 seniors.
