Individual Entrepreneurs Also Listed in Naver Profile Information... Enhancing SME Credibility
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver announced on the 13th that it will establish a personal business owner occupation category in its People Information service after review and consultation with the Korea Internet Self-Governance Organization (KISO).
Accordingly, non-corporate entities such as self-employed individuals and small business owners, as well as representatives of personal business entities, can be registered as personal business owners in Naver People Information.
However, businesses that violate KISO policies or are involved in entertainment establishments, gambling, pharmaceutical sales or brokerage, and other activities against social order are excluded.
Recently, Naver People Information has been reorganizing the occupation classification system and registration criteria of its People Information service to reflect changes in industry trends and users' occupational demands. Occupations such as Creative Director, Calligrapher, and Popera Singer have also been newly established, and each time a new occupation category is created or registration criteria are revised, the classification system is developed through KISO's review.
Yang Miseung, leader of Naver People Information, said, "We hope that the establishment of the personal business owner occupation category will allow more sellers to gain trust from users," adding, "Naver will continue to strive to accurately provide people information in various fields in line with social trend changes."
