Hamyang Mobile Walking Club Holds Event to Pray for Successful Hosting of Sansam Expo D-30
Gathering Hearts for a Successful Event: Character Meet-and-Greet, Photo Sessions, and Promotional Leaflet Distribution
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Public Health Center of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, is conducting an event to pray for the successful hosting of the 2021 Hamyang Sansam Anti-Aging Expo D-30 together with the mobile walking club ‘2021 Hamyang-gun High Five’ from the 11th to the 13th.
During this event, the mobile walking club distributed commemorative gifts for the challenge of walking more than 70,000 steps in a week, took photos with the expo character, and handed out promotional leaflets to unite hearts for the successful hosting of the expo.
Due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the county has been operating a walking club using a non-face-to-face mobile walking app for residents’ self-health management, receiving great responses from local residents.
The mobile walking community started in May last year and currently has about 2,200 members. It encourages friendly competition by allowing participants to check not only their own step counts but also their rankings among community members, thereby motivating walking.
Additionally, monthly events are held to let participants enjoy exercising together with others.
