The report meeting was attended by 13 people including Mayor Yoo Jinseop, District Councilman and Vice Chairman Lee Sanggil, Chairman of the Autonomous Administration Committee Jeong Sangseop, and the research agency, Dulle Research Institute.
This research service, which started in March, was conducted to revitalize tourism in the Jeongchon Gayo Special Zone.
The city plans to revitalize the Jeongchon Gayo Special Zone by preparing an operation plan that utilizes local resources and considers regional characteristics.
Additionally, by linking Naejangsan National Park and Naejangsan Resort, the city aims to establish a foundation as a four-season tourist destination through competitive cultural tourism content and business development.
On the day, the research agency reported on the results of the service, including ▲feasibility study and basic plan establishment for immersive content development projects ▲discovery of tourism resource development projects to revitalize the Jeongchon Gayo Special Zone ▲suggestions for facility operation management and revitalization plans within the special zone ▲proposals for the use of facility sites and private investment attraction sales sites ▲and formulation of tourism marketing and promotional strategies to attract tourists.
Afterwards, the attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on mid- to long-term business plans and future promotion measures, gathering various opinions.
The city plans to finalize the research service after making final revisions and supplements based on this report meeting.
Mayor Yoo Jinseop said, “Through the final report meeting, we had time to review plans to revitalize the Jeongchon Gayo Special Zone,” adding, “Based on this, we will concretize experience programs and systematically draw up a blueprint to become a four-season stay-type tourist destination.”
