Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces Personnel Appointments for Principals and Educational Specialists
Personnel Changes for 415 Principals, Vice Principals, and Education Specialists Announced
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced personnel changes for 415 individuals, including principals, directors, vice principals, deputy directors, and education specialists, effective September 1 this year, on the 12th.
In this personnel reshuffle, 222 principals and directors, and 93 vice principals and deputy directors were promoted, transferred, or reassigned. Additionally, 34 supervisors and education researchers, and 66 educational officers and researchers were transferred or reassigned.
By school level, 13 moved in kindergartens, 217 in elementary schools, and 185 in secondary schools.
An official from the Office of Education explained, “For teachers, the personnel changes focused on fairness and enhancing school educational capacity, while for education specialists, the emphasis was on professionalism and innovative capabilities to lead and support innovative Jeonnam education and educational autonomy. We also considered selections from the school field and balanced distribution across school levels.”
He added, “Key positions focused on appointing individuals with a cooperative educational autonomy mindset that shares responsibility with the community beyond the school fence, policy implementation responding to changes in Jeonnam’s future education, and those with innovative mindsets and capabilities.”
