Ottogi Sees 16% Increase in Jin Ramen Sales Following Collaboration with KartRider
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Ottogi announced on the 12th that sales of Jin Ramen have increased since the launch of the ‘Jin Ramen X CarRider Rush Plus’ cup and bowl noodles.
Last month, Ottogi partnered with Nexon’s mobile racing game KartRider Rush Plus (hereafter CarRider Rush Plus) to release the ‘Jin Ramen X CarRider Rush Plus’ bowl noodles and cup noodles. The popular characters from KartRider Rush Plus were applied to the existing Jin Ramen package design, featuring ‘Bazzi’ on the spicy Jin Ramen and ‘Dao’ on the mild Jin Ramen.
According to Ottogi, sales of Jin Ramen bowl and cup noodles last month increased by 16.0% compared to the same period last year, and by 29.4% compared to the previous month. It is analyzed that the sales growth was driven by creating new value through collaboration with different companies, stimulating consumers’ purchasing desires in line with the ‘Fun+Consumer (Funshumer)’ trend that pursues fresh and entertaining experiences.
