Messi Queues in Front of PSG Store on Paris Champs-?lys?es to Buy Jersey
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lionel Messi (34), who signed with French professional football club PSG, is gaining great popularity in France for his uniform. The Champs-?lys?es street in Paris, where the PSG store is located, was crowded with people trying to buy Messi's uniform with the number 30 on it.
After PSG officially announced Messi's joining the day before, the official website started selling Messi uniforms, but they sold out within 30 minutes.
Messi held a press conference at PSG's home stadium, Parc des Princes, at 11 a.m. that day, marking his first official schedule in Paris. He said, "I came to PSG because I want to keep winning," and added, "I still want to win just like when I first started my playing career."
When it became known that Messi would arrive at Le Bourget Airport to join PSG, the airport was also crowded with people.
