Gyeonggi-do Provides Up to 300,000 KRW Brokerage Fee Support for Basic Livelihood Security Recipients
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will support real estate brokerage fees up to 300,000 KRW for low-income residents.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it has been implementing the "Gyeonggi Province Real Estate Brokerage Fee Support Project" since the beginning of this year, which supports up to 300,000 KRW of brokerage fees paid for the sale and lease contracts of houses priced at 200 million KRW or less for recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security within the province.
This system, introduced last year, has raised the transaction price limit for sales and lease contracts eligible for support from 100 million KRW to 200 million KRW this year.
Applicants wishing to apply must prepare a consent form for the collection, use, and provision of personal information to third parties, a certificate of National Basic Livelihood Security recipient status, a copy of the resident registration, a copy of the sales (lease) contract, a copy of the brokerage fee receipt, and a copy of their bankbook, and submit them to the real estate department of the city or county office where they have moved in.

Last year, through the real estate brokerage fee support project, the province supported a total of 394 households with approximately 73.8 million KRW. This year, the province has secured a budget of 146 million KRW. As of the end of last month, 297 households have been supported with approximately 57 million KRW this year.
