Geochang-gun Extends Social Distancing Level 3 for 2 More Weeks
Ban on Private Gatherings of Five or More, Continued Administrative Orders for Outdoor Rest Areas
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 9th that it will extend the Level 3 social distancing measures for two more weeks to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This measure will be applied throughout Gyeongnam Province, and the adjustment will be reconsidered after monitoring the situation for the next two weeks.
The current Level 3 measures include ▲ban on private gatherings of five or more people ▲restrictions on gatherings after 10 PM at entertainment facilities, Hold'em pubs, singing rooms, bathhouses, indoor sports facilities focused on high-intensity aerobic exercise, door-to-door sales, etc. ▲restaurants and cafes are only allowed takeout and delivery from 10 PM to 5 AM the next day ▲wedding halls and funeral halls limited to fewer than 50 people, religious facilities operating at 20% capacity (with four seats spaced apart), and bans on gatherings, meals, and overnight stays.
Meanwhile, exceptions to the ban on private gatherings of five or more people have been relaxed for those who have completed vaccination (for vaccines requiring two doses, 14 days after the second dose; for single-dose vaccines, 14 days after the dose), cohabiting family members, children (under 12 years old), elderly, disabled persons requiring care, those attending end-of-life care, minimum personnel required for sports games (up to 1.5 times the number of players), with 8 people allowed for formal meetings and 16 people for first birthday parties (Doljanchi).
As special quarantine measures, exceptions for private gatherings do not apply to entertainment facilities, Hold'em pubs, singing rooms, etc. Managers and workers at entertainment facilities are encouraged to undergo proactive testing once every two weeks, and eating or dining is prohibited in resorts, parks, and other such places.
