[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 9th that it was selected as the Best Control Center for the first half of the year, hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency annually selects and awards outstanding control centers that have contributed to crime detection and prevention through closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring.
The Geumcheon Police Station Control Center was ranked second in the Seoul area in the field of crime prevention in the first quarter and was selected as the Best Control Center for the first half of the year, receiving recognition for its efforts in establishing a tight social safety net.
In particular, it has consecutively achieved excellent results this year, including the arrest of a violent suspect carrying a weapon in February and the arrest of a suspect involved in a 10 million won snatching incident.
