Let us become one again."
Former Minister Chu assessed, "The main election we have to fight is not easy. Even among ourselves, we have to unite tightly to barely win," emphasizing, "We must prepare for integration with the Open Democratic Party, which was part of the same family just over a year ago, with an open attitude." She also praised, "The leadership and members of the Open Democratic Party are comrades who helped bring about the Moon Jae-in government and candlelight democracy."
She said, "Especially to me, they are grateful people who sent unforgettable support and encouragement during the prosecution reform process along with Democratic Party comrades," evaluating, "On the arduous journey of reform, the Open Democratic Party comrades sent pride that there was no you or me, and that we would ultimately become one and complete the reform."
Former Minister Chu recalled, "In the last general election, there were differences in position regarding the mixed-member proportional representation system, and principles were compromised. There were conflicts and resentments, and lingering antagonisms," adding, "However, what is certain is that it is not a river we cannot cross. Now, we must put everything into the melting pot of great unity, reflect on what needs reflection, apologize where necessary, and melt together again into a greater whole."
She proposed to the Democratic Party leadership, "I ask you to take responsible steps toward integration with the Open Democratic Party," requesting, "It is fine to start with policy alliances such as prosecution reform and media reform. I earnestly ask you to seriously consider and strive for the path of 'becoming one again!' in a way that no longer hurts divided party members."

Addressing the presidential candidates, she said, "If you have the will to integrate with the Open Democratic Party, please voice it together." She added, "I hope you declare a strong will to break the momentum of the reactionary conservative forces outside our party who are desperately trying to regain power, not a fight within us," and stated, "I will gladly be the primer on the path to integration and victory. If there are still arrows of criticism aimed at each other, shoot them at me. I will take them all."
