[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Lee Hyuk-joo, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LG Uplus, stated during the 2021 Q2 earnings conference call held on the afternoon of the 6th, in response to a question about dividend outlook, “At yesterday’s board meeting, it was decided to pay a cash dividend of 200 KRW per share, which is about 44% of last year’s dividend,” and added, “Considering the current progress of sales and operating profit on an annual basis, the absolute amount is expected to increase compared to last year.”

Regarding the dividend payout ratio, he explained, “Based on the guidance, it is about 30%, but over the past 2 to 3 years, the payout ratio has been around 40%,” and “We also plan to raise the dividend payout ratio next year based on this year’s performance.”
