Suncheon-si Calls for Name Suggestions for the '(Tentative) Suncheon Eoullim Center' Under Construction in Pungdeok-dong
Call for Names for Communication and Cultural Space Enjoyed by Disabled and Non-Disabled Together, Submissions Accepted Until the 26th
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 6th that it is accepting name suggestions for the '(tentative name) Suncheon Eoullim Center,' currently under construction at 1789 Pungdeok-dong, until the 26th.
The '(tentative name) Suncheon Eoullim Center' is a cultural space where people with disabilities and non-disabled people can enjoy together and communicate with the local community. The city plans to select a symbolic and creative name that well represents the center's characteristics, resonates with the public, is friendly, and differentiates it from other facilities.
Anyone interested in the naming contest can participate. Applicants can download the application form from the city’s website, write the proposed name and its meaning, and submit it via email by the 26th.
Each person can submit only one name, and if the same name is submitted by multiple participants, priority will be given to the first applicant.
The winning entries will be selected next month after evaluation by experts. Prizes will be awarded as gift certificates: one grand prize winner (500,000 KRW), one excellence prize winner (300,000 KRW), and three encouragement prize winners (100,000 KRW each).
