Police Arrest Man in His 60s for Detaining Wife While Drinking Together and Threatening Officers
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 60s who confined his wife and threatened responding police officers with a weapon was apprehended by the police.
According to the police on the 6th, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul arrested Mr. A on charges including confinement under the Domestic Violence Punishment Act and is currently investigating him.
Mr. A is accused of confining his wife, with whom he was drinking, at a villa in Gwangjin-gu around 3:25 PM the previous day.
It is reported that Mr. A threatened the police officers with a weapon but was subdued. During this process, Mr. A sustained minor injuries to his hand, while the victim was unharmed.
