Andong-si, Next Year's Budget Planning 'Resident Survey' ... Also Accepting Project Proposals
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Andong City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 6th that it will accept 'resident project proposals' along with a resident survey related to next year's budget formulation for one month from the 9th to September 8th.
The resident survey consists of 20 items, including priority investment preferences by sector. The city plans to actively reflect citizens' opinions on which sectors should be prioritized for budget allocation next year.
Citizens can also directly propose projects they wish the city to pursue. Proposed projects by citizens will be reviewed by the responsible department and then decided on budget inclusion through deliberation by the 'Resident Participation Budget Committee.' Any Andong citizen can participate by filling out a survey or proposal form at the Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers.
Last year, Andong City collected 40 resident opinions and reflected a total of 11 projects, including the 'Installation of streetlights on Geumgok-gil' proposed by the Andong Youth Participation Committee, worth about 800 million KRW, in this year's budget.
