South Korea and the U.S. Hold First Director-General Level Talks Since Hotline Restoration... Discuss Resumption of North Korea-U.S. Dialogue
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Im Gap-su, Head of the Peace and Diplomacy Planning Group, held a working-level consultation with Chung Park, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, in Washington on the 4th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 5th.
Relevant agencies from both sides also attended the consultation.
Both sides reaffirmed the urgent need for the prompt resumption of inter-Korean and North Korea-U.S. talks to achieve substantive progress in the Korean Peninsula peace process.
