Amazon Allows Resale of Returned Products... "Contributing to a Circular Economy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce company, announced on the 4th (local time) that it will allow the resale of returned products as used items to contribute to resource conservation and recycling, CNBC reported.
According to the report, Amazon stated through a blog post that it has introduced a program called 'Resale through FBA Grading' to enable third-party sellers to sell returned products as used items. Amazon aims to contribute to the circular economy through this initiative.
Amazon has already implemented the resale of returned products as used items in the United Kingdom and plans to expand it to the United States within this year, and to Germany, France, Italy, and Spain by early next year.
Amazon also introduced a separate 'FBA Liquidation' program that allows sellers to recover part of the inventory costs of returned products and others.
This program is currently being implemented in the United States, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, and is expected to be introduced in the United Kingdom within this month, the company added.
