Public Procurement Service Strengthens Support for SMEs Entering Overseas Procurement Markets
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] On the 5th, the Public Procurement Service (PPS) announced that it will strengthen support for domestic excellent small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enter overseas procurement markets in response to the international community's strengthening of protectionist policies.
First, the PPS plans to enhance corporate capabilities through customized consulting by providing overseas procurement market information to K-quarantine and export strategic companies, and will support each stage from discovering promising overseas suppliers to supply contracts.
In addition, various events involving domestic and international procurement-related companies, such as the "Nara Market Expo (September 29 to October 1)" and the "Public Procurement Export Consultation (November 15 to 26)," will be held to expand opportunities for SMEs to enter overseas markets.
More emphasis will also be placed on the overseas market entry of innovative companies. Through the PPS's task force (TF) supporting the overseas expansion of innovative procurement companies, cooperation with related ministries such as KOTRA, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups will be strengthened to assist innovative companies in entering overseas markets.
