Woo Haram (23) has rewritten the history of Korean diving. He achieved the highest ever 4th place in the men's 3m springboard event.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, Woo Haram scored a total of 481.85 points over six dives in the men's 3m springboard final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Japan. He placed 4th among twelve competitors. This surpassed his own 11th place finish in the men's 10m platform at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, marking the best Olympic result ever for Korean diving. Korean diving has participated in the Olympics since the 1960 Rome Games but has yet to win a medal.

Woo Haram demonstrated significant potential to the world in this competition. In the preliminary round the day before, he scored a total of 452.45 points, ranking 5th among twenty-nine divers. In the semifinal that morning, he earned 403.15 points, barely qualifying for the final. In the final, he accumulated 331.55 points through the first four dives, coming close to medal contention. However, he scored only 68.40 points in the fifth dive, narrowly missing out on winning his first Olympic medal.
