Benz Social Contribution Committee Delivers 'COVID-19 Testing Supplies' to Social Welfare Organizations
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 3rd that it will support a total of 40,000 self-test kits and 200 automatic fever check and hand sanitizer devices to 200 social welfare institutions and facilities nationwide in response to COVID-19, in partnership with the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation.
The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee selected a total of 200 child and disabled social welfare institutions and facilities across 14 cities and provinces nationwide, and plans to deliver 200 self-test kits and one automatic hand sanitizer equipped with a high-performance thermometer to each institution.
This support is part of the "Together Healthier with Mercedes-Benz" campaign to overcome COVID-19. It was planned to proactively provide quarantine measures targeting vulnerable children, adolescents, and people with disabilities amid the recent rapid resurgence of COVID-19, and to safely protect members of local communities.
Through this, beneficiary institutions and facilities receiving the supplies will be able to strengthen and implement their own daily quarantine measures, which is expected to help prevent COVID-19 among children and people with disabilities within the facilities.
