Kakao Webtoon Achieves 1 Billion KRW in Transactions Just Two Days After Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Entertainment announced on the 3rd that its new webtoon platform, 'Kakao Webtoon,' achieved a transaction amount of 1 billion KRW within two days of its launch.
According to Kakao Entertainment, Kakao Webtoon ranks 2nd overall in the popularity charts and in the entertainment category on the Apple App Store. On the Google Play Store, it reached 1st place in the comics category.
The company also stated that Kakao Webtoon, launched in Thailand and Taiwan in June, is setting new records. In Thailand, daily transaction amounts reached 370 million KRW.
Domestically, Kakao Webtoon has seen a 2.5 times increase in both the number of views per user and the purchase conversion rate compared to Daum Webtoon.
