Gwangju Seo-gu Operates Mental Health Service 'Maeum ChungjeonhaeON'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) is operating a non-face-to-face mental health service called the Mind Health Rocket Prescription "Mind Recharge haeON" together with Seo-gu’s character ‘Haeoni’ to strengthen citizens' mental health immunity.
According to Seo-gu on the 3rd, "Mind Recharge haeON" is a non-face-to-face program launched in March, allowing Seo-gu residents to freely consult about mental health issues and concerns anytime and anywhere.
In addition, mental health experts provide customized prescriptions via text message within 24 hours, ranging from practical daily life tips to professional advice for the participants.
Participants can join by searching for "Gwangju Seo-gu Mental Health Welfare Center Mind Health Rocket Prescription" or "Seo-gu Mental Health Welfare Center" on PC or mobile.
There is also an event where participants who verify their prescription practice on the review board can be selected for excellent reviews and receive a mental health item called the "Five Senses Kit" (including vitamins, foot bath agents, and other items satisfying sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch) that helps relieve stress.
Over the past four months, about 19,000 citizens have used the Mind Health Rocket Prescription, and among them, about 500 citizens have received rocket prescription consultations, showing its high popularity.
A Seo-gu official said, "By providing mental health services online during the COVID-19 era, it has become easier for citizens to access, and various prescriptions containing mental health tips for daily life are also being offered," adding, "We ask for many citizens to use the service."
