Actor Kim Yong-gun Accused of Attempted Coercion of Abortion Against 39-Year-Younger Female Partner
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Actor Kim Yong-gun (75) has been sued on charges of forcing his 39-year-younger female partner, Ms. A, to have an abortion.
According to the police on the 2nd, Ms. A filed a complaint against Kim Yong-gun at the Seoul Seocho Police Station last month on charges including attempted coercion.
Kim Yong-gun and Ms. A have been in a relationship since 2008, and it is reported that conflicts began earlier this year when Ms. A announced her pregnancy and Kim Yong-gun opposed the childbirth. Ms. A reportedly appeared at the police station last week for the complainant investigation.
Kim Yong-gun’s side stated that they will take responsibility if any illegal acts are found during the police investigation. Additionally, they said they will do their best for the mother and child before and after childbirth, separately from the legal matters.
