401 Confirmed Cases in Seoul by 6 PM...16 Fewer Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul was tentatively counted as 401 from 0:00 to 6:00 PM on the 30th.
This is 16 fewer than 417 cases at the same time on the previous day (29th) and 7 fewer than 408 cases last Friday (23rd). As of 6:00 PM on this day, 7 of the new confirmed cases in Seoul were imported cases, and the remaining 394 were domestic infection cases.
Additional cases included 2 from indoor sports facilities in Eunpyeong and Nowon districts, 2 from indoor sports facilities in Seocho district, 2 from academies in Songpa district, 1 from a sauna in Dongjak district (occurred in July), and 19 from other group infections.
Among the new confirmed cases, 229 were confirmed contacts of existing cases and not managed as group infections, and 139 cases with unclear infection routes are under investigation.
The cumulative confirmed cases by major group infections in Seoul increased to 70 at indoor sports facilities in Eunpyeong and Nowon districts, 19 at indoor sports facilities in Seocho district, 14 at academies in Songpa district, and 38 at the sauna in Dongjak district (occurred in July).
