Diving Kim Suji, 7th in 3m prelims... First Korean female athlete to reach semifinals
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Kim Su-ji of the diving national team became the first female diving athlete from South Korea to pass the Olympic qualifiers. On the 30th, at the Diving Women's 3m Springboard qualifiers held at the Aquatics Center in Tokyo, Japan, she scored a total of 304.20 points over five rounds, ranking 7th out of 27 competitors. Starting tied for 15th place in the first round, Kim Su-ji scored 65.10 points in the second round, moving up to 8th place. In the fourth round, with a flawless performance, she further improved her ranking to 7th. Kim Su-ji will advance to the semifinals on the 31st.
