Police Launch Investigation into 'Stray Cat Abuse Video' Post
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The police have reportedly launched a full-scale investigation into a series of posts on an online community where individuals abused stray cats and then 'certified' their actions.
According to the National Police Agency on the 29th, police departments in each city and province have begun investigating the posts. It is currently reported that they are in the stage of questioning complainants and accusers. The police plan to check the online access records of the posters and conduct investigations at the relevant city or provincial police stations based on their residences.
Earlier, a petition titled "Please investigate and punish the DC Inside gallery that displays stray cat abuse" posted on the Blue House National Petition site has currently gathered over 219,800 signatures, meeting the response requirement of 200,000.

The petitioner criticized, "They upload and share numerous videos of abuse and torture while laughing and saying it’s fun," adding, "Regarding animal rights, we are worse off than developing countries."
